North and South Toll Plaza Tunnel Assessment

MPO Solutions served as the assessment consultant for DFW Airport's Parking Control Plaza Tunnels Assessment, delivering a documented engineering-based condition assessment of the two underground tunnels located at the North and South entrances to the airport. These tunnels house critical infrastructure supporting parking booth operations, including utility, power, communication, and pneumatic lines, making their structural integrity essential to continuous airport operations.

Scope included a physical condition assessment based on visual examination, non-destructive testing to determine the structural integrity of the two tunnels and the MEP systems therein, and evaluation of roadway conditions at both Control Plazas. Findings, condition ratings, recommendations, and cost estimates were consolidated into an interactive report deliverable to ETAM, providing DFW with a clear roadmap for protecting the critical assets housed within the tunnel system.
