DFW International Airport

MPO Solutions is performing a documented engineering-based evaluation of DFW Airport's Terminal D and E Passenger Boarding Bridge systems, focused on the Pre-Condition Air (PCA) Units and Roof Top Units (RTU) serving 29 Board-owned PBBs at Terminal E and 12 at Terminal D. The work establishes the technical basis to assess current condition and remaining service life of these critical passenger and aircraft servicing systems, equipping DFW with a prioritized framework for capital improvement needs and operational and maintenance requirements across both terminals.
The evaluation covers Terminal E's PCA system architecture, consisting of a central plant serving the main terminal (water-cooled chillers, cooling tower, and electric boiler installed by TRIP and recently placed in service) with a two-pipe glycol/water distribution to fan coil units at each gate and along select PBB walkways, along with Point of Use units (POUs) serving the Satellite. Key services include condition assessment, identification of immediate and long-term capital improvement needs, development of preventive maintenance recommendations, establishment of budget forecasts for capital replacements and O&M, regulatory compliance evaluation, and optimization of winter operations systems.
MPO Solutions provides overall program oversight and management of various facilities related assessments for the Energy Transportation and Asset Management Department (ETAM) of DFW Airport.
