MPO Solutions served as the assessment consultant for DFW Airport's 480V Switchgear Assembly Assessment, delivering a documented engineering-based conditional assessment of the existing switchgear, associated operation and maintenance protocols, and the system's interface with the utility automation system. The assessment established the technical basis to understand the current condition of the switchgear and to define the scope and cost required to improve its maintainability, sustainability, resiliency, and reliability, supporting DFW's broader effort to safeguard electrical service continuity across critical airport operations.

Scope included the assessment of the 480V Switchgear Assembly, covering the Siemens RL 480V breakers and Siemens ISGS Protective Relays designated as EDC-SWGR1 through EDC-SWGR4. Key services included inspections, discussions, review of operation and maintenance protocols, and the development of recommendations addressing both the physical condition of the switchgear and its integration with the utility automation system, equipping DFW with a clear technical roadmap for improving long-term electrical system performance.
