MPO Solutions served as the engineering consultant for DFW Airport's Southeast Holding Pad Stormwater Outfalls Evaluation, delivering a documented engineering-based infrastructure evaluation of the stormwater draining into Outfall 22, Outfall 45, and downstream Outfall 023 from the Southeast Holding Pad (SEHP). With high glycol concentrations observed at Outfall 45 and adjacent downstream areas placing the airport at risk of violating Texas Surface Water Quality Standards, MPO's work established the technical basis to identify the root cause of elevated glycol levels and define corrective recommendations to safeguard regulatory compliance and aquatic habitat conditions.

MPO led an assessment team that reviewed existing documentation, previous reports, and field investigations, evaluating culverts, open channels, erosion, holding ponds, and stormwater and glycol lines. Key services included a topographical survey, soil sampling, hydraulic performance evaluations, and video scoping of the glycol conveyance and stormwater systems. Findings, recommendations, and cost estimates were consolidated into a final report to ETAM, equipping DFW with a clear path to address water quality concerns and reduce environmental compliance risk.
