PBBs and Ground Support Equipment

MPO Solutions conducted a comprehensive engineering evaluation of DFW Airport's Board-owned Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) and associated Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at Terminal B Gate 32, Terminal D Gate 27, and Terminal E Gate 10. The work established the technical basis to assess the current condition and remaining service life of these critical passenger and aircraft servicing systems, equipping DFW with a prioritized framework to guide capital improvement needs and operational and maintenance requirements across multiple terminals.

Scope included evaluation of the PBB and GSE systems at each designated gate. Key services included condition assessment, identification of immediate and long-term capital improvement needs, development of preventive maintenance recommendations, establishment of budget forecasts for capital replacements and O&M requirements, evaluation of regulatory compliance, and optimization of winter operations systems, delivering DFW a comprehensive technical foundation to extend the service life and reliability of its PBB and GSE infrastructure.
