MPO Solutions led the engineering evaluation of DFW Airport's Terminal Grease Interceptor Systems Assessment, delivering an engineering-based assessment of twenty-five (25) Terminal Grease Interceptor Systems serving Terminals A, B, and E. These systems manage the collection and disposal of grease wastewater from the food and beverage (F&B) concessions located throughout the terminals, and MPO's work established the technical basis to resolve ongoing issues with the proper grease removal process, particularly within the pumped grease wastewater systems and their integration with the Sanitary Sewer System.

Scope included evaluation of the grease interceptors, associated lift stations, grease piping, vent piping, sump pumps, and sump pump integration with the Airport's Building Automation System (BAS). Key services included video scoping and cataloguing of the grease lines and vent piping, along with the assessment of each interceptor against industry standards and regulatory requirements, evaluating variables such as retention time, flowrate, capacity, condition of the baffles, condition of the inlets to the traps, plumbing line at the discharge side, elevation of the sewer plumbing, and grease removal frequency.
