Terminal D L2, Access to HVAC Components

MPO Solutions served as the assessment consultant for DFW Airport's Terminal D Service Level HVAC Access and Concrete Floor Assessment, delivering a documented engineering-based condition assessment of an HVAC equipment room, its access, and the surrounding concrete floor at the service level of Terminal D. As one of the lowest levels of the seven-level terminal and a boundary for the land side, the service level presents unique access and structural challenges that directly impact the serviceability of critical HVAC infrastructure.

Scope included a review of historical documents, specifications, and current as-built drawings, along with multiple field visits to both sides of the service level. Key services included evaluation of existing access conditions to the HVAC equipment, assessment of the surrounding concrete floor, and the development of recommendations on how best to access the HVAC component for service and remedy the concrete floor, equipping DFW with a clear path forward to restore safe and efficient maintenance operations.
